It was a pleasure to be invited by Street Level Photoworks to share my ongoing low-sodium project along as part of their In Focus series of artist's talks along with friend and colleague Indre Bylaite .
Our work offers contrasting experiences of lockdown. My low sodium nightscapes, started in 2015, have over the last year become inflected with the atmosphere of the empty lockdown streets, while Indre - who is shielding - has expressed her experience of confinement indoors in a small flat by playing with changing light and available props in her small flat.
I'm grateful to the Street Level team for opportunities over the years to share and develop work among supportive peers. Particularly this past year it has helped to keep my practice going.
